Why become a member of GICCC?

Joining the Greater Indiana Clean Cities Coalition, Inc. affirms your Company's commitment to improving our community's air quality and lessening our nation's foreign oil dependence.

By becoming a member of GICCC, Inc. you will become a stakeholder in one of the Top Ten Clean Cities Coalitions in the country and the 2006 DOE Clean Cities Coalition of the Year. Your membership will give you access to a one-stop-shop location for answers and information to any of your alternative fuel, fuel blends, idle reduction and emission after-treatment questions. You will network with stakeholders who hold similar alternative fuel interests, learning from each other through your individual experiences. GICCC, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit corporation.

Every year, GICCC Inc. hosts various training sessions for members and interested parties. These training and information sessions include, but are not limited to, annual stakeholder meetings, talks by industry experts on the latest in alternative fuel and vehicle technologies, emissions in our area, as well as testimonials from local fleet owners and their success stories with various fuels and vehicle technologies. Also, throughout the year, training will be held for fleet managers and their maintenance staffs on the latest alternative fuels and alternative vehicle technologies.

However, one of the most important benefits of becoming a member of GICCC, Inc., is that, throughout the year, the Department of Energy and various other organizations announce funding opportunities for a multitude of alternative fuel uses, such as, vehicle purchases, infrastructure installation, fuel purchasing, research requests and much more. As a member of GICCC, Inc. you will receive notification when these opportunities are announced and, if interested, assistance in preparing the grant application. Since 2002, GICCC has assisted stakeholders in obtaining over $3,000,000 in project funding.
